It is thus crucial to look at measures to strengthen the entrepreneurial mindset of tourism students, if we are to ensure the existing and future development of the tourism industry, as they are most likely going to be associated with the tourism industry in near future. Hence, the study is aimed to analyze the effect of Entrepreneurship Education, in addition to the TPB factors viz. Personal attitude, Subjective Norms and Perceived Behavioral Control, on the entrepreneurial intentions of tourism students. The population for the study comprised the students undergoing tourism studies in various educational institutes of J&k. The findings suggest that apart from the TPB factors, entrepreneurship education also plays a crucial role in shaping the entrepreneurial intention of tourism students.
2024-07-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Atna Journal of Tourism Studieshttps://journals.christuniversity.in/index.php/atna/article/view/5517Entrepreneurial Initiatives of Women Self-Help Groups to Facilitate Sustainable Tourism: A Case Study with Reference to Kudumbashree- Kerala2024-05-02T16:06:57+00:00Issac P Elias Pazhoor issac.p.elias@christuniversity.inG Johnjohnsjctry@gmail.com
Abstract:

Sustainable Ecotourism and cultural tourism have been emerged as an integral part of the tourism industry, that enhances economic development, and cross-cultural understanding between people and countries, and protection of environment. Using linear discriminant analysis approach, we investigated several important factors, including psychological safety, inclusive leadership, ethical climate, and reward and recognition, to determine their respective influences on employee loyalty. The findings yielded valuable insights into employee loyalty determinants. Psychological safety emerged as the most influential factor among those examined. Workplace culture fostering psychological safety was positively linked to employee loyalty. Ethical climate and recognition & reward systems also played substantial roles in distinguishing loyal from less loyal employees. Moreover, organizations prioritizing ethical behaviour and effective recognition and reward mechanisms were more likely to cultivate employee loyalty. Inclusive leadership, though valuable, was a less discriminant factor in this study.
2024-07-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Atna Journal of Tourism Studieshttps://journals.christuniversity.in/index.php/atna/article/view/4896Factors Influencing Employees’ Organizational Citizenship Behaviors for the Environment in Indian Hotel Industry2024-05-01T05:10:50+00:00Mercy Tommercysinto@gmail.comZakkariya K Azakkaria@gmail.com
As hotel sector is accountable for negative environmental impact and there is a rise in Indian hotels adopting the mission of environmental sustainability, it is the need of the hour to study in depth about the voluntary discretionary behaviors of employees namely Organization citizenship behaviours for the environment (OCBEs) which play a vital role in the successful implementation of hotels’ environmental efforts. In order to explore the determinants of employees’ OCBEs, survey is conducted among 522 employees belonging to eight premium hotels with strong environmental policy. The result validates the positive relationship between Green organizational climate (GOC) and employees’ OCBEs.

It also reveals that green organizational climate is positively related to employees’ environmental commitment. The findings of the study confirm that employees’ environmental commitment and perceived behavioral control are positively related to OCBEs.This study proves the mediating role of employee’s environmental commitment in the relationship between green organizational climate and their OCBEs. It also validates the moderating role of employees’ perceived behavioral control. This study elucidates the determinants of employees’ OCBEs and provide managerial implications for the hotel management which guide them in their journey of responsible luxury.
2024-07-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Atna Journal of Tourism Studieshttps://journals.christuniversity.in/index.php/atna/article/view/5422Enhancing Service Innovation Performance of Hotels: The Role of Organizational Learning Culture and Dynamic Capabilities2024-05-01T06:38:23+00:00Bhawana Pandebhavnapande.bbd@gmail.comSushil Pandepandesushil@rediffmail.com
Organizations are beleaguered by stiff competition, a dynamic market environment, and rapid technological changes that threaten the survival of businesses rambling to gain a competitive advantage. Past studies bring forth the role of innovation in services, crucial in driving tremendous growth in terms of economic activity. But, what contributes to innovation in services remains a sparsely researched area. The present study proposes a research model to examine the impact of organizational learning culture on service innovation performance in hotels with dynamic capabilities as a mediating variable. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used for assessing the relationship between variables and validates the research model. The unit of analysis comprised individual employees working in four-star and five-star rated hotels located in the tourist-bound cities of Lucknow, Agra, and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh (India). Empirical evidences support the positive role of dynamic capabilities in the relationship between organizational learning culture and service innovation performance thereby asserting the importance of developing distinctive capabilities for enhancing service innovation performance in hotels.
2024-07-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Atna Journal of Tourism Studieshttps://journals.christuniversity.in/index.php/atna/article/view/4706Tourism that is Accessible: Bibliometric Analysis Using the Scopus Database2024-05-14T06:35:49+00:00Anjali Gulatianjaligulati05@gmail.comShelley Duggalsduggal@amity.eduBhupesh Kumarprofessor7@rediffmail.com
Accessible tourism has received much attention in recent years, both in terms of research and news attention. This study examines the profound changes in how Social Media influences consumers' purchasing intentions in the Travel and Tourism Industry. To understand this, we've incorporated Davis's Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) from 1989, while adding two variables: Trust and Electronic Word-of-Mouth (E-WOM). Data was collected from Indian customers via a questionnaire survey and analyzed with PLS 4.0 software. The results demonstrate that the integration of TAM with trust and E-WOM provides a robust framework for explaining how Social Media's changing impact affects consumers' intentions to purchase in the Travel and Tourism Industry. This paper offers an overview of research on purchase intention within travel and tourism through social media, highlighting key findings that suggest promising areas for future exploration. It emphasizes the need for further investigation in the field, advancing the understanding of the factors influencing an in-depth analysis of how Social Media is transforming consumers' purchase intentions in the Travel and Tourism Industry.
2024-07-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Atna Journal of Tourism Studieshttps://journals.christuniversity.in/index.php/atna/article/view/4862Factors Influencing the Development of Ecotourism in and Around Kanha National Park, India2024-05-01T05:07:10+00:00Prashant Kumar Yadav yprashant49@gmail.comAnil Kumar Tamtaaniltamta1@gmail.com
The Kanha National Park has high potential of Ecotourism Development. The empirical study on the service quality and satisfaction of the wellness tourism sector is underexplored. The present study empirically examined the expectations and perceptions of service quality in wellness centres, assessed the level of satisfaction of tourists, and identified the factors influencing service quality and satisfaction. The study has been conducted among selected Ayurvedic resorts in Kerala. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires to tourists who had used wellness treatments. The research outcome shows a discrepancy between wellness tourists' expectations and perceptions of service quality. There is a negative gap in the service quality of wellness centres; the perception level of wellness centres is lower than expected. Recommendations to reduce the gap and sustainable business practices have been discussed. Being synonymous with Ayurveda, Kerala serves as a crucial focal point in the tourism industry, and the wellness tourism sector plays a pivotal role in enhancing the state's tourism landscape. Bridging the negative gap in this aspect can significantly boost guest flow and contribute to the overall growth of Kerala's tourism industry. By recognizing the determinants of service quality and implementing sustainable business practices, these resorts can provide tourists with authentic and enriching wellness experiences while conserving the region's cultural and ecological heritage.

Keywords: Wellness tourism, Ayurveda, Expectation, Perception, Service Quality, Satisfaction, Kerala.
