Call for Papers: Christ University Law Journal | Volume 14, Number 2, Issue 27 (July-December 2025)

Generative AI, a subset of artificial intelligence capable of producing text, images, music, and other forms of content, presents profound challenges and opportunities for intellectual property (IP) law. As these technologies advance, they raise critical questions about the ownership, protection, and ethical use of AI-generated works. Generative AI represents a transformative technology that challenges existing IP law frameworks and raises critical legal, ethical, and policy questions.
The paper should aim to contribute to academic and policy discourse by providing a comprehensive analysis of the legal challenges and opportunities posed by generative AI; identifying gaps and inconsistencies in current IP law frameworks as they pertain to AI-generated content; offering practical recommendations for adapting IP laws to better accommodate the realities of generative AI; enhancing the understanding of how generative AI impacts various aspects of IP law and practice. We invite contributions that address these themes and issues from diverse perspectives, including legal, technological, ethical, and economic viewpoints. Submissions should aim to advance the understanding of how IP law can be adapted to effectively manage the challenges and opportunities presented by
generative AI. Authors are encouraged to provide empirical evidence, case studies, and comparative analyses to support their arguments.
