PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF ORGANISATIONS

An index is developed to evaluate the performance of an organization based on the premises of what it gives to the society as against what it receives from it. The model of a little plant growing into a fruit-yielding tree is presented as an analogy. Some foctors relevant for the model are listed. A hypothetical illustration is provided.
