Submission Types

The journal accepts English-language manuscripts in the following types: article, commentary, perspective, and book review.

 Article

Research articles, which are original empirical or theoretical work, between 6,000 and 8,000 words, excluding the Abstract, Title Page, References, Endnotes, Figures, and Tables.

The abstract will be for 150 words and around six keywords to be submitted, along with the article.


Commentary

Short articles that provide insights on emerging social issues, or respond to some discussions that are topical in nature. The word limit is between 2,000 and 3,000 words, excluding the Abstract, Title Page, References, and Endnotes.

The abstract will be for 50 words and around three keywords to be submitted, along with the commentary. Tables and figures are discouraged in the commentary submission.


Perspective

Articles that widen the academic-, research-, and policy-oriented discussions within social sciences. The word limit is between 4,000 and 5,000 words, excluding the Abstract, Title Page, References, Endnotes, Figures, and Tables.

The abstract will be for 150 words and around six keywords to be submitted, along with the submission.


Book Review

Reviews of books that would be of interest to a larger readership in social sciences, with a limit of 1,500 words. The book reviews will carry a separate title. No abstract to be submitted along with a book review.

The book reviews should carry the following information of the book at the top of the review: name of the author, title of the book reviewed, place of publication, name of the publisher, year of publication, number of pages in Roman and Arabic figures to include preliminary pages, and price, with binding specifications as to whether it is paperback or hardcover and ISBN.
